Vancouver trip wrap-up post

I’ve been back home for a couple of days, re-adjusting. Here are some photos from my time in the greater Vancouver area, where I visited family as well as playing tourist:

A Quiet Day at Home

Finally, Canada Post is catching up with the mail! Today I received two parcels:

Jasper Vacation 2011

Unfortunately I’ve just about hit my 200-picture-free limit on Flickr. Does anyone have a pro account with Flickr? Would you say it’s worth it?

In Mid-May, my boyfriend and I went to Jasper, AB for a little over a week. It’s the first time I’d stayed in the Rockies, though I’ve driven through them several times. We hiked a bunch. And, I’m not much of a landscapes gal, but the mountains were indeed gorgeous.

Here are some highlights.

The three billy goats gruff?

The elk were habituated, so let us get very close. However, they wouldn’t stop mooning.

A raven’s nest in Maligne Canyon.

We couldn’t leave without checking out some of the used book sales – Jasper doesn’t have a book store, but they had small sale shelves in the art gallery, library, hotel lobby… here’s what we got.

If you do go to Jasper, make sure to hit up the Soft Rock CafĂ© and the Jasper’s Artist Guild Gallery, as well as climbing to Old Fort Point.

A Poor Woman’s Planner

I’m back from Jasper and seeing Rammstein as well, so expect posts on those soon. I saw a lot of elk behinds. ANYWAYS.

The following is my totally-janky make do planner for the summer, since the free university-provided planners don’t cover the summer months and I’m too lazy to shell out money for a 2011 planner when the year is half over. How many times can I say planner in one sentence?

Printable sheets + glue stick + christmas ribbon = success.

I’ve Been a Bad, Bad Blogger

I really have been. This semester is exhausting to say the least, and I’m not on solid footing for any of my classes so far. I didn't even manage to finish Twilight Princess over 'Reading Week'. I am though, hopefully going to be doing research for my summer job this year. More to come on that. Oh, and I'll be seeing Rammstein in May. Here are some photos of my photogenic animals. I'm also going to try take more (quality) pictures of my life, some of which will be posted here but others at my Flickr.

Steel Grey

New nail polish (Rimmel) and ring (etsy) – the ring reminds me of something Jessica would like.

Snow.

And you say Nicki And I say who me

Here are some pictures of what I’ve been up to during the last week or two. They aren’t edited, I’m too lazy right now.

So much snow – the lawn is under at least a foot and a half.
