It’s been a rainier than usual summer this year for Edmonton. My surprise today? Since I inhabit a basement room, extra rainwater is leaking through the walls down onto my floor. Soaking currently about 1/3rd of my carpet.
I freaked out, scooping up my most precious items first – my books. A few of them are water-damaged, but I think they’re still readable. I’ve now picked up EVERYTHING off of the floor, including electronics. I’ll be sleeping on the couch for a bit.
