Just after the Titanic, my great-grandmother a young deaf woman took a ship from Scotland over to Canada. Unaccompanied. Stayed with some family, and returned.

I’d almost forgotten it was International Women’s Day today, when I saw a woman on the way to the library wearing a burqa.

I’m not sure quite what I mean with these statements.

Other than, Happy International Women’s Day. We deserve every day. And, you do too.
